My PS3 is fucking with me too... PSN signs itself out whenever it feels like it and gives me an error.

I used to have shit house internet and PSN always signs me out automatically. Now that I upgraded so it's 6 times faster, shit hasn't happened since.

Or if you on wireless, it could be your router that's shit and try using an ethernet cable to secure the connection.

I noticed I couldn't connect with my PS3's, and my laptop and desktop was loading shit fuck slow. By Tuesday morning, it was somehow... fine.

Shit dude, that sucks ass. You could try the YLoD fix, trade in your "working" PS3 to buy a new PS3 cheaper.

i was going to take it to a computer shop to get them to remove my MW2 disc and rip the HDD so i don't lose all my saves

the YLoD is the only problem i have not had,

Who cares if they don't take them in. My sisters boy friend had an Xbox that did not work at all, wouldn't turn on or anything, went to EB to trade it in and they took it without even checking it.

I'm pretty sure they'd check it.

they ask for your number, drivers license and for you to sign, which is pretty much a legal document that everything is legit.

yeah i wouldn't do that either cos my local EB has some nice people working there. . . and they are easy to scam in other ways hahaha

anyway they said they would take it for $100 (10% of what i payed for it at launch -__-") so i'll be getting a new slim by next week. . . now i just need to get the HDD Ripped and my MW2 disc removed haha

Guess it depends, I traded in my broken 40 gb PS3 earlier this year for $300, they still haven't called.

I made a post about this earlier but it didn't show up.

You can take the disc out yourself. No guides needed or anything, I've done it. Took me about an hour.

And the HDD can't be ripped. Unless you fix it yourself the data is gone.

jase pretty sure you can take it out and recover all the data cos it's just a standard laptop SATA drive the guy at the computer shop said it shouldn't be a problem. . .

I think by removing the disc you void the warrant of your PS3 so Sony and EB won't take it in. I think.

it's 3 years old next year warrenty has been gone a while now lol

Well, there's a sticker or something on the PS3 which shows if you've caused the PS3 physical damage to void the warrant. Eb and Sony will still take it in if it's out of date.

They'll take it in even if you do open it, they charge the same fee either way.
It voids the warranty, meaning you can't get it repaired for free.
