| Fuckin' retard Spart. "Naw, we won't accept your $250 because you peeled off a sticker".
And b1gsmk, it won't work. Not only is the data on the HDD encrypted up the shitter so badly that it's unreadable by pretty much everything but PS3s, when you put the HDD in a new PS3 it'll force you to wipe it to ensure you haven't fucked with it and tried to hack it.
Like I said, there's no guide about removing the disc. Just unscrew the fucker, it's not hard to do. I did it myself and I'm 16, no guide or anything.

| But how retarded are they if that's true? The sticker is what voids warranty. If the warranty is already expired, why wouldn't they fix it? On top of that they have no other way of fixing it WITHOUT taking that sticker off anyway! | |

| It was for my old fat PS2, there's a sticker, where when you take it off the sticker magically gets covered in the words "VOID VOID VOID". The guy at EB saw this and told me I couldn't trade it in. | |

I'm pretty sure that sticker is the only thing keeping half of the PS2 together. Also, you can't, because y'know how you have those stickers with two layers? The layer underneath the first one which says "VOID VOID VOID" is super glued on like a motherfucker. Besides, it would still be refused, because they have to find that sticker. It pisses me off though, because I don't ever remember toying with that sticker. Then again, I got that PS2 when I was five >_>

Played the demo it came with to death when I was five (mainly SSX), was awesome shit.

| Well, I guess it makes sense that they would think it's broken or maybe modded but why wouldn't they at least test it? | |

No problem. But, how does that change anything? I would still be able to trade it in, even though it was broken, but the void sticker stopped me from trading it in.

Hence the "We won't accept your $250..." line.

Err, yes. It has these terms and conditions on it, stating that the warranty would be void if you do so and so, including take off the sticker.

As I said before I don't have any recollection of taking off the sticker, but at the time of getting my first PS2 I was five, so who knows?
